The Elections Committee of the PMI OVOC is seeking interested nominees to stand for election to the Board of Directors of the chapter. There are Seven (7) director positions to be filled this year.
This is a great opportunity to have an impact, learn, earn PDUs and expand your circle of influence. The work of the chapter makes a difference to more than 2000 local members. We need dedicated individuals to keep the chapter vibrant, relevant and forward-looking. Without volunteers like you, many of the chapter activities would not be possible. Here is your opportunity to help. Get involved!
Each director is elected for a two-year (2) term. Board members elect the executive directors (President, President-Elect, Secretary, Treasurer) from amongst their number. Other directors (i.e. those who are not executive directors) will be responsible for a portfolio (Professional Development, Membership, Volunteer Management, Marketing, Technology, Partnerships, Sponsors, Programs, Director-at-large, Symposium) and will co-ordinate the effort of volunteers. Board meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month in the evening. The estimated time commitment is from 15 to 30 hours a month depending upon the portfolio a director is responsible for.
If you are interested or know of someone who might be interested, please contact Terry Koech, Chair, 2019 PMI OVOC Elections Committee, at email@example.com. We would be happy to send you additional information.
In addition to the volunteer positions below, the volunteer team is currently looking for additional team members. A VRMS opportunity will be available later in the week. If you are interested, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
