Last week the Kick off Meeting was advertised with the wrong date. The correct date for the Cohort #1 Kick Off Meeting is June 8th. The 2017 PMI OVOC Mentoring Program is made possible through the generous support of Algonquin College Corporate Training. The mission of the Program is to provide chapter members with mentoring support in their journey to becoming effective project managers. Projects are complicated, which is why an evidence based project management methodology (PMBOK, 2013) is so useful. This method, if used in its entirety, almost gives off the impression of being seamless and "air tight"; considering almost every angle, roadblock, and issue that could possibly surface during a project. This might be true from a technical standpoint, but for the sake of argument let's propose that experience, knowledge, and the "great next idea" makes the difference between a "bad project" and a "great project."
