"PMI PDU Changes, the Talent Triangle and the Evolving Profession"

This presentation will discuss the evolving profession of Project Management and explain the background and meaning of changes to the Continuing Certifications Requirements program.  Included will be an explanation of the new PMI Talent Triangle and the exciting opportunities this brings to project practitioners and their employers.  This interactive presentation will be of interest to managers and professionals who are considering PMP designations as well as those who have an existing PMI certification.  This session will also assist business professionals in furthering their knowledge around PMI programs and practices and provide information on paths for career development.

Presenter: Yvan Bastien, PEng, PMP and PMI OVOC President

Yvan Bastien has over 20 years of business experience in the fields of engineering, business skills training and business development.  He currently works as a professional development trainer at Global Knowledge - teaching students in a variety of business and leadership skills.

Yvan is also a trainer and avid student of interest-based negotiation and alternative dispute resolution concepts - which are key drivers in his professional and personal endeavours.  Yvan obtained his P. Eng in 1985 and a PMP in 2003.  His current interests include volunteering in the professional community as the President of the local Project Management Institute Chapter.
