Topic #1: Infrastructure Project Delivery in the Middle East (1 hour - 1 PDU under Strategic & Business Management)

In the span of a decade, a global city doubled with a business hub went from a paradise for fuel-guzzling SUVs to a heaven for mass transit users. This is the inside story - known to very few - of how it all happened, from the perspective of a project manager. This is a story of vision, leadership and risk-taking.

Presenter #1: Taoufik Mounib, P.Eng., PMP, Project Manager, Bombardier 

Taoufik cumulates some 25 years of international experience. In addition to Canada, he has lived and worked in Europe, North Africa and the Middle East. His experience spans from the feasibility stage up to the start of operations of urban transit projects. He currently works for Bombardier Transportation as Head of Engineering for a 300 m$ project in Saudi Arabia. He graduated as an engineer in 1987 and as an urban planner in 2006. He received his PMP certification in 2015.


#Topic #2: Blockchain and Project Management (1 hour - 1 PDU under Strategic & Business Management)

Blockchain technologies have been gaining interest for potential use in a variety of contract management applications. This presentation will give a base explanation of the current state of Blockchain platforms and look into the hype and hyperbole surrounding Blockchain opportunities in project and contract management.

Presenter #2: Craig Jeffrey, P.Eng., PMP, Senior IT-IS Director, CMC Microsystems

Craig Jeffrey is a founding member of the Kingston Planning Committee of PMI OVOC. He is the Senior IT-IS Director for CMC Microsystems, responsible for strategy, management and direction of IT Infrastructure, IS application development, IT operations and cyberinfrastructure for CMC Microsystems.
