Topic #1: Security Practices Based on the NIST Cybersecurity
 
Denise Ernst will discuss assessing security practices based on the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Cybersecurity Framework.

Presenter 1: Denise Ernst, CISSP, Information Security Officer, ITS, Queen's University
Denise is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP). She has over 25 years of IT experience, with 15 years specialized in information security. Before joining Queen’s, Denise assisted the Bank of Canada with their cybersecurity program and previously she was the Director of Corporate Risk and Security at the Canadian Payments Association where she oversaw the Information Security and Enterprise Risk Management programs. Denise is also an instructor for the Safe and Secure Online program, which educates elementary school children about safe cyber practices.

Topic #2:  Privacy 101 for the Project Management Professional
"Privacy 101 for the Project Management Professional - the discussion will help you understand the importance of building Privacy into your project, in particular, the planning phase.  It will include a look at Privacy Impact Assessments (PIA) and how they need to be a part of any project involving Personal, Financial or Corporate Information. 

Presenter 2: Patrick Baldwin, PMP, CIPP/C, Local Privacy and Security Officer - ICES, Queen's University, Kingston
Patrick Baldwin has worked in the field of Information Systems for many years in both the public and private sectors. With his extensive project management experience in health care technology, he has provided strategic direction to senior management teams in Hospitals, Community Care, Mental Health, Long Term Care and a Local Health Integration Network (LHIN).

Patrick is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/C) and currently is the Local Privacy and Security Officer at ICES, a department of Queen’s University, Kingston.
