How to Build and Sustain Effective Relationships with the Strength Deployment Inventory (SDI) 

Knowing how to build productive and enduring relationships is a critical skill for those who seek personal and professional success and this involves learning about self and others and consciously applying the strengths that enable individuals to build mutually beneficial relationships. The workshop is intended to develop self-management and relationship management skills. Building strong, trusting relationships is one of the most important elements to enable successful improvement and get faster organizational results.

Learning Objectives

  • Revision of the principles of Relationship Awareness and of the SDI arrow
  • Summary of the Seven Motivational Value Systems (MVS)
  • The meaning of conflict and understanding of the Conflict Sequences
  • Review of the personalized SDI results – an understanding of how to effectively work with and influence the different MVS’s – strengthening of interpersonal /relational abilities
  • Examine better ways to communicate, collaborate, and work through and resolve conflict

Madalena Coutinho is a fluently bilingual organizational consultant, Certified Professional Facilitator from the International Association of Facilitators, learning and development specialist and professional key note speaker. She joined Intersol in 2006 and has extensive experience in the areas of personal development training, organizational and leadership development, cooperative change management, strategic planning and building visionary organizations. Her passion is in inspiring individuals to own something larger than their direct responsibilities. As a believer in lifelong learning and development, she brings over 25 years of human resource, organizational development, and facilitated training to her clients and employers. Her passion is in supporting people and organizations in working together through a culture of effective communication, high trust, clarity, collaboration, respect and mutual understanding.
