The Collective Intelligence of Teams

Currently, technology and business teams face numerous challenges, such as cultural, economical and organizational, in addition to technical challenges. These problems don't just affect individual teams; they are organizational issues and have an impact on everyone within the organization.

If you are in the midst of your digital transformation, how do you know if you are on the right track? Do you think it is enough to become a high-performing team to succeed in Digital Transformation?

Skilled employee's "must-have" requirement for any organization planning to start the digital transformation journey. Establishing and building high-performing teams are part of the transformation road map; however, none are enough to succeed. First, teams and then the organizations need to reach the collective intelligence state.

Collective Intelligence is a way of obtaining a comprehensive understanding of challenges and finding better ways of tackling them as a team. It is a method to help teams achieve transformational change for their current state and a sustainable future. Collective intelligence is created when a group of diverse people works together, often with the help of technology, to mobilize a wider range of information, ideas and insights in order to solve a problem. It's based on the premise that intelligence is distributed. Different people hold different pieces of information and contribute different skills that, when combined, create a more complete picture of a problem and how to solve it.

In this session, we will discuss the key elements of transformational change, what collective intelligence means for teams and organizations and how to bring all team members to a "collective wisdom" state.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Describe what collective intelligence means for teams and organizations.
  • Explain how to reach the collective intelligence state as a team.
  • Understand the challenges and how to overcome.
